Because WordPress is such a flexible platform, it’s extremely easy to add features through many different avenues. Just because you can, though, doesn’t necessarily mean you should.This session briefly explores the difference between the functions.php file in a WordPress theme; a regular WordPress plugin; and a WordPress “Must-Use” plugin before laying out some guidelines to help determine which avenue should be taken when adding a new feature to a WordPress installation.
